    Two paths, one place

    Kropka is the independent project of Szymon Sierant and Marlena Brodecka — two paths that met in one place.

    At the heart of our kitchen is Szymon Sierant, a Krakovian from Nowa Huta. Szymon describes his food as 'technical and delicious.' In his kitchen, you won't find unnecessary 'smoke and fireworks' – he focuses on quiet cooking that is unseen, but whose result is felt in every bite through depth of flavor and precise selection of techniques. As a chef and restaurateur, he is a 'rebel by choice'; he follows his own current, avoiding viral trends in favor of integrity and courage in presenting unique, sometimes challenging flavors.

    Kropka's other pole is Marlena Brodecka — she came to Kraków from the Lublin region to study and stayed, because the city looked back. For fourteen years she has moved through Kraków's dining scene as if through her own living room — all the way from waitress to manager of the city's defining concepts. At Kropka she takes care of what you can't see but feel from the doorstep: the warmth of the light, the rhythm of the service, the tone of conversation at the table. She runs the room quietly and precisely — knowing hospitality isn't a gesture, but attention repeated hundreds of times each evening.

    We started as four. Today there are fourteen of us.

    Building it took time, but today we are a stable, close-knit crew — people who shape this place together with us, with their personalities and craft.
